– Wash and rinse short-grained rice a few times until the water is clear.
– Cook the sushi rice in a pot over the stove or in an electric rice cooker that has a “sushi” option. Bring two cups of water to a boil and add a cup of rice if you’re cooking on the stove. Put the sushi vinegar or a combination of rice vinegar, sugar, and salt into the pot while it cooks. Finished rice should be fluffy, sticky.
– Place the seaweed on the bamboo mat then add a layer of rice to the seaweed. Don’t mush the rice.
– Add whatever ingredients you like to the bed of rice and roll
